Ocean Hero Story

Athens Greece based swimwear line specially designed for kids, “Ocean Hero” consists of a wide range of kid’s swimwear – beachwear costumes such as onesies, two pieces, trunk shorts and UV sun protective tops among others.

The aim of Ocean Hero is to satisfy the needs of an active baby-toddler-kid in all his-her phases during summer-day at the beach.

Fabrics are specially chosen to be UV 50, soft and dry-quick so as to protect kid’s sensitive skin.

Ocean hero is proudly one of the supporters pf Desmos precious work.

A part of Ocean hero’s active wear collection profits have been given to contribute to Desmos Giving Tuesday.

Desmos is a non Profit Foundation that serves as a hub between donors and beneficiary organizations.

Since 2012 its mission is to match donations from individuals, companies and foundations with real needs of the greek society.

UV50+ Fabrics

Sun protective clothing is clothing specifically designed for sun protection and is produced from a fabric rated for its level of ultraviolet (UV) protection. A novel weave structure and denier (related to thread count per inch) may produce sun protective properties. In addition, some textiles and fabrics employed in the use of sun protective clothing may be pre-treated with UV-inhibiting ingredients during manufacture to enhance their effectiveness.

In addition to special fabrics, sun protective clothing may also adhere to specific design parameters, including styling appropriate to full coverage of the skin most susceptible to UV damage.
